Project Description: The Watershed Management Fund supplies watershed groups around PEI with funds to complete projects surrounding topics focused on erosion and sedimentation control, agricultural run-off control, wildlife habitat enhancement, research, community outreach as well as the general management of watershed groups. This money supports the work of the PEI Watershed Alliance in aiding watershed groups across PEI like Souris Wildlife. Click here for more information about the Watershed Management Fund.

The overall goal of the PEI Watershed Alliance (PEIWA) is to improve and protect the environmental quality of Prince Edward Island watersheds, for the benefit of all Island residents. They empower Island watershed groups to achieve their goals by promoting cooperation, by serving their needs and by providing a strong, united voice in addressing Island-wide watershed issues.
